Evergreen Knowledge and Skill Forum - inaugural mentorship class · 60 students
I am the lead mentor for software development at theEvergreen Knowledge and Skill Forum, a not-for-profit that helps students and recent graduates find their footing in technology. I have been doing it since 2021.
In practice that means a small group at any one time - between thirteen and fifteen mentees over that period - a mix of scheduled sessions and answering questions as they come up, and, the part that actually matters, staying available long enough to be useful when someone hits a wall.
Beyond the one-to-one work I have run training for the forum at a larger scale: a data science series that drew around 700 registrations and held roughly 200 people per session. I also run the organisation's YouTube channel end to end, which is where the recordings live.
Something adjacent to these is usually fine too - ask.
